- Choose the Room you want to change.
- Wait until the Room is fully loaded.
- Read its label: Uses Whole Home, Customized, or Private Draft.
- Make changes in Studio Editor, Layout, or Code.
- Wait for the Private Draft to save.
- Preview the Room on desktop and phone.
- Select only that Room as the publish destination.
- Publish, then open the live Room.
Switch Rooms without losing work
Studio finishes pending saves before it opens the next Room. When a save cannot finish, the switch stops so your work is not quietly lost.

The next design loads.
- Do not click several Room buttons while Studio says Loading.
- Wait for Saved before closing the page.
- When a switch stops, fix the connection or save problem and try again.
Publish one design to one or several Rooms
One Room
Keep only that Room checked. Read the publish button before you continue.
Several Rooms
Use the active Room as the design source, then check every destination that should receive it.
- Choosing a publish destination does not switch the Room you are editing.
- Rooms that are not selected stay unchanged.
- When Studio finds a newer saved copy, it stops and asks you to reload instead of overwriting it.
Copy a design into the current Room
- Open the Room that should receive the copy.
- Open Room tools and choose Copy from.
- Select Whole Home or another Room.
- Confirm the copy.
- Preview the copied design.
- Publish only when it looks right.
Copying creates a Private Draft. It does not publish by itself.
Reset choices
Use Whole Home
Removes the selected Room’s separate design so it follows Whole Home again.
Reset all Rooms
Removes every Room-only design. Whole Home itself does not change.
Common fixes
Publish says Choose Rooms
Select at least one publish destination.
A Room switch stopped
Wait for the current save, check your connection, and try again.
The wrong Room was replaced
Open a restore point or rebuild it, then check publish destinations more carefully.
A Room says Uses Whole Home but looks different
The look may be coming from Whole Home itself.
Preview and live do not match
The design may still be private, or a different Room may have been published.
Reset is unavailable
Choose a Room and wait for any save or publish action to finish.

Do I need to design all nine Rooms?
No. Whole Home can do all the work.
Can Wall have a different design?
Yes. Wall follows the same Room design rules.
Can I publish one design to several Rooms?
Yes. The active Room stays the source while selected Rooms receive the design.
Does selecting a publish destination switch Rooms?
No.
Does Use Whole Home erase Whole Home?
No. It removes only the selected Room’s separate design.
Can Rooms have different Layouts and CSS?
Yes, when those tools are available for the Room.
