SSS Support & Recovery Guide: Fix Problems and Restore Designs
Support helps you understand a problem without changing your design. It is the safest place to start when saving, Preview, publishing, or Room switching does not work as expected.
Start here
- Open Support.
- Find the first item marked Needs attention.
- Read the short explanation.
- Follow the suggested guide or action.
- Try the failed action again once.
What Support includes
Studio checks
Shows whether the main Studio tools are ready.
Connection
Shows whether Studio can save and load your work.
Browser backup
Protects changes that the site has not confirmed yet.
Undo and Recent Changes
Helps you step back through work from the current editing session.
Restore points
Lets you reopen a saved design checkpoint as a new Private Draft.
Preview details
Helps you tell whether a slow or broken Preview is caused by Studio or another page feature.
Browser backup
When a change has not been fully saved to the site, Studio can keep a backup in the browser you are using.
Restore
Reopens the backup when it is still safe to do so.
Compare
Shows the browser copy and the latest site copy so you can save important text or CSS.
Discard
Removes the browser backup after you have checked it. It does not publish anything.
Older backup
When direct Restore is not safe, use Compare and copy anything you need.
Undo, Redo, and Recent Changes
- Undo: steps back through recent changes in the current Room and session.
- Redo: puts back a change you just undid.
- Recent Changes: shows a short list of meaningful edits.
- Typing inside a text or CSS box may also have its own normal Undo.
- Big actions, such as publishing or resetting, may begin a new Undo history.
Restore points and Design Versions
- Save the current Private Draft.
- Choose Create restore point.
- Give it a helpful name when asked.
- Later, open the restore point.
- Studio creates a new Private Draft from it.
- Preview and publish only when the reopened design is correct.
A restore point protects the Digital Home design saved at that moment. It does not restore messages, posts, friends, or other live account information.
Newer copies, offline use, and sign-in problems
Newer saved copy found
Another tab changed the Room. Reload the newest copy instead of overwriting it.
Offline
Publishing stops. Keep the page open until the connection returns.
Signed out
Sign in again. Check the browser backup before closing the page.
Older result ignored
Studio protected a newer change from being replaced by an older one.
Common fixes
Everything says Ready, but one action fails
Focus on that exact action. Record the message and try it once more.
A browser backup is older
Use Compare, copy anything important, then discard it only after your work is safe.
Preview shows a red warning
Check whether it belongs to Studio or another page feature before changing your design.
Studio says Offline
Keep the page open, reconnect, confirm Save, and then publish.
Support feels overwhelming
Return to the first visible item that needs attention. Ignore the rest until that item is fixed.
You are afraid to lose work
Create a restore point and use Compare before clearing or resetting anything.
FAQs
Can opening Support change my profile?
No.
What is the difference between Undo and a restore point?
Undo is for recent session changes. A restore point is a saved checkpoint you can reopen later.
Does opening a restore point publish it?
No. It opens as a Private Draft.
Why can a browser backup refuse Restore?
A newer copy exists or the backup is too old. This prevents lost work.
Where do I fix CSS errors?
Use Code. Support tells you that a CSS check is needed.
